35 weeks...almost there!

My bed rest buddy, Sara reminds me that I can't just post on and on about my pre term labor issues than disappear from the blogosphere for days on end.

All is well, actually better than usual, on the pregnancy front. My contractions have been better the last week or so than they have been the entire pregnancy. I just know that now that we're almost at the golden ring, 36 weeks, all my PTL issues are going to come to a screeching halt and she's going to stay put for weeks and weeks. She is already screwing with us.

All is not well, however, on the laptop front.

I've been MIA because my laptop is having some trouble. As in freezing all the time, can't do anything, barely got some important files backed up, trouble. He had to go to the doctor today, and I don't expect him back until later this week. Considering I didn't pay much for the laptop, if it's an expensive fix I'm guessing I may never get him back. I really don't have the right to complain too much, we still have a functioning perfectly fine desktop (but it's in the garage and it's hot in there) and I do have my laptop for work that I can use for Internet access (but it's heavy, and it gets hot and it's slow and ugly) so it's not like I'm completely shut off from the world, it's just far more inconvenient.

Less than a week from freedom...at 36 weeks, it's expected that my bed rest will be lifted! I have no idea what I'll do with myself.

That is a good point about not posting. Even for us lurkers and sometimes commenters. Wow, soon to be released from bedrest? Sounds exciting.

Katie,
I am SO proud of you. You have taken bedrest and PTL and rocked them both. You have kept your little girl safe, and managed to retain your sense of humor the entire way through. I am so thankful that you've shared this journey with us. You have done such a great job of caring for your daughter already. She is one lucky kid. Also, I love that she's messing with you (great personality and spirit!), and will find it really funny if you're still pregnant at 40 weeks, and asking for advice on how to induce labor ;)

Best of luck, and you look great.
Best Wishes,
Erica/Yosemite

Um. Are you still going to blog? What the hell will I do if I can't get my semi-daily dose of Katie humor?

I love the belly pic! You look amazing! If you need a Labtop Dr that is free I can talk to DH. He works in Napa which is closer to you than our home is. Let me know. He is great with computers but labtops are more tricky. Hopefully nothing to big will be wrong.

You have no idea what to do when you get off bedrest? Wow, I have a List! Unfortunately, I'd need to stay pregnant for approximately nine weeks after bedrest to pull off everything on it...

Way to go Katie! It's great that you are doing so well. :) I'm still cheering for you to make it past 36 weeks...can't wait to see what you come up with for your "to do" list when you get released!

Look at you - gorgeous and almost off bedrest! You give me such hope there :-) Sorry about the laptop, hope it's a quick and inexpensive fix. I hope this next week flies by - and you have me laughing about the little girl messing with you already and that she probably won't come out until a few weeks after you reach that 36 mark. Isn't that the stories people always tell? I hope yours doesn't stay put any longer than you want her to! Looking good there girl :-)

I just found your blog today and have just started my 2nd round of bedrest. My 1st I was on bedrest from 20-36w due to IC, PTL and a 12cm subchorronic hematoma. This time my cervix went from 3.2 to 2.8 in 3 weeks. Argh! The day I got off bedrest with my 1st was pure enjoyment! I shopped, got a pedi/mani, etc. Then...believe it or not - my contrax stopped and I didn't have another for nearly 2 weeks! When I went in for my next pedi I went into labor. I was so ticked that it all came to a grinding hault right when I was thinking the baby would come any day. Best of luck to you. Off to read the rest of your blog...
